To ensure that the mobile flood protection system is ready for use quickly and efficiently, please follow the steps below. Especially during heavy rainfall or imminent flooding, rapid deployment is essential.
Assembly of the M.O.SE.S. flood protection system
1. Positioning on the water-facing side
Platziere den Damm mit der schrägen Seite dem Wasser zugewandt. Achte dabei auf einen möglichst ebenen Untergrund.
2. Adjust the first chamber correctly
Schiebe die erste Kammer vollständig zur Wand oder Barriere hin, um sicherzustellen, dass kein Wasser seitlich eindringen kann.
3. Aligning the dam
Richte den gesamten Dammverlauf aus – je nach Gelände, gewünschter Länge und Form. Kleine Anpassungen können durch leichtes Verschieben erfolgen.
4. Pre-filling
Fülle in jede Kammer eine kleine Menge Sand ein und verteile ihn gleichmäßig am Boden. Dadurch erhält der Damm Stabilität und kann nicht verrutschen.
5. Connecting multiple modules (dams)
When connecting multiple modules, make sure to follow these steps:
- Tie the small connection loops tightly together.
- Secure the large fastening straps as well to ensure maximum stability.
6. Fastening with velcro
Nach dem Verknüpfen aller Bänder: Schließe die seitliche Lasche mithilfe des Klettverschlusses – sie sorgt für einen dichten Übergang zwischen den Elementen.
7. Top closure
Finally, close the top cover flap. It prevents sand or gravel from entering the space between the dams during filling.
Tip: Front loaders, concrete mixers or loading cranes are particularly suitable for filling. This ensures a quick and efficient process. In acute flooding situations, every minute counts.
