About us – flood protection with responsibility
M.O.SE.S. is a mobile flood protection system from Austria that provides rapid, flexible and reliable protection exactly where it is needed. Well-designed technology, easy handling and robust materials ensure that the system is ready for deployment in the shortest possible time, helping to protect people, buildings and infrastructure from flooding.
The idea for M.O.SE.S. emerged after the devastating floods of 2002. Lower Austrian firefighter Rudolf Schöny asked himself a crucial question at the time: How can flood protection be implemented more quickly and efficiently to better safeguard lives and property? This question became a vision and ultimately a system that is now successfully used throughout Austria.
From this consideration came an innovative idea - and shortly afterwards M.O.SE.S. - Modern Overflow Securing System

Rudolf Schöny – the inventor
After the devastating floods of 2002, he developed the mobile dam system with the aim of better protecting people and their property from natural disasters such as flooding. With technical expertise, foresight and a pioneering spirit, he laid the foundation for a system that is now used throughout Austria. Rudolf is the technical heart of M.O.SE.S. and the creative mind behind the idea. With his inventive spirit and experience, he ensures that our systems are continuously further developed.
